I have been searching through the various threads and even my gas pump books. I recently purchased a Bowser model 41. The odd thing is that it has a flat edge top along the top where all of the other ones curve. On flat edge or shelf is a keyed lock assembly that allows a piece of steel to slide back and forth and will not allow the vertical crank to rise when cranking the handle unless its unlocked. I was just curious if anyone has encountered anything like that.
Thanks in advance

Bowser made the 241 for 57 years, there were all kinds of changes in them. Here are some pictures of the 41: http://petrolianacollectibles.com/bowser%2041.htm

Thanks Jack,
I had a chance to year into it today it looks / smells like it may have been converted to a oil lubester. Is that possible or am I seeing remnants of something else?

I have never owned one so I can't answer your question. There should be someone here who could answer for you.

It cleaned up nice. I apologize in advance for the sideways pic. Admin please fix it if possible thanks. So notice the flat back in it with the lock.
