We have another single small display case in the museum, but this one just doesn't look perfect. Also the combination of the face with a display case didn't seem correct. Any info/help?

If it doesent have the motor in the bottom and a driveshaft thru the display area its probly not. also the original doors have a T knob on the door to latch it instead of a key latch

Look for conduit running down the sides to illuminate the innards, also the bottom of the VR is different with an offset drive.
