Hello All
I'm hoping someone can help my with this Purelube bank I cant find anything on it. I'd like to know if it is authentic and about how old it is. Also if there is any value to it.
Thanks.
Chuck.

According to Miller and Sonewald, Collecting Oil Cans book, it dates to 1949. Second from left.

First time I've seen a clear one, but I have no doubt it's real. I just sold a similar one at Columbus last year.

Concerning the clear mini-oil can banks, I have the one that mapper pictured above. I also have a clear Mobiloil one, with the printing and the Pegasus (in a shield) done in gold. I'll have to look, but I don't think there are any other colors on it. John

Here is a clear Mobil one listed on Ebay today. Mine is from the same company, and I assume John's is too. They do not come up for sale too often as I think it was only this Ben's Friendly Service that gave them out. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1940s-MOBI...iveaway-fm-Okla-gas-station/183615869978I know of another Mobil version of these plastic banks. They sell quite high when they appear, and I've only seen a couple. I saved a photo of the last one that sold on Ebay, which I unfortunately didn't win! Darin
