Its a nice display, but lubesters do not sell for anything close to what you are asking. Fully restored like this $350 is what i get here in MO, $250 if not cut into a bookshelf. You did a good job though!

The OP has done beautiful work on this lubester. I can appreciate the hours and skill needed for this result as I too am a restoration guy.

Problem is that (for now) the lubesters just don't bring money. I've seen two in the last 30 years that brought some cash only because of the original unique paint on them. In my local area, there are more than half dozen fully restored like this one that just sit at 200 bucks. No one wants them.

You can get some $ out of restored lubesters but not super easy thats for sure, last one I sold was 1.8k or so. Restoration time and cost can be significant on these. Just the paint / primer material cost is like $300 alone if your doing your own painting with a good urethane base/clear system. What sucks about lubesters is the body work, straightening them out it usually a bear!!! Usually have to shrink the metal to get rid of the tin canning effect on the metal.

I am sorry, I am not trying to be disrespectful at all. I know how facebook is as i am in all of the groups.. .bunch of drama.

I will not state my opinion on pricing anymore, I am sorry Vintage. I still say you did a great job restoring them.
