Hi Petrolianer

If you have fun with Restostorys here is how i got my german ARAL of 1957 ....
It was advertised in Clasifiedsforum by two Young Brothers who pulled it out for nearly free out of a dry barn one day before. It must have been sitting there safe for more than 5 Decades they´ve been told by the Owner . Only because I promised to pick it up right away I was able to catch it... when I was there it was even more beautiul than expected....
Since I love original mint emaille/porcelain and its shiny gloss this was the deal for me...
Greetings from Germany

Another beautiful pump. I really like the clean look and design of the paint scheme.

It's hard to tell but from looking at the pictures in this thread and the Shell pump. Seems to me, like these pumps are finished in porcelain. That would explain why this pump survived so well in a dairy barn for 50 years.

Hi Dave
Yes the ones of the Fiftees/Sixtees are all made of Porcelain- we call it "emaille" !!!
If it is not cracked ( like the signs ) it could be brought back to life with some TLC...

Greetings
Andy

Gotta admit, I am in love with the Veedol oil cabinet/lubester I see in there! Awesome stuff.
