I'm working on a Wayne 80 with original Conoco ad glass. One of the panels had been removed from the top and the other was broken. Fortunately, I have a second glass panel to replace the broken one.

My question is about reinstalling the original window rubber and ad glass. I've tried putting the rubber in first and then working the glass into the rubber on the inside of the top. I've also tried installing the ad glass into the rubber and then working the rubber into the window opening. Neither way seems to work. Either the glass won't slide into position with the rubber in the window or the rubber won't slide into position with the ad glass in it. I've tried working the rubber into position with a screw driver but there doesn't seem to be enough flexibility.

I'd appreciate any suggestions for the proper way to reinstall the panels. This might also resolve my question about how these glass panels were originally installed or replaced.

Thanks.

Basically the same way as the Tokheim 300 installation.
