Buy the globe CD or download; its by far the best source for company history related to the gas/oil industry... http://www.pcmpublishing.com/shop/products.php?cat=7

Fleetwing is not all that common in my area either.....I have found one globe, a plate topper, and this cylinder lube bottle locally, which I think is pretty scarce. I too like the logo, but I don't need another brand to collect, so this will probably stay a "mini collection"! Darin

There is a nice looking Fleet-Wing blotter (my opinion) on Ebay right now; if someone is interested? #311662529066

Yes, the medical cabinets come in handy for displaying smalls....mine is full of Mobil trinkets.
I saw it in my local antique haunt for $85. I thought it seemed like a good price but kept walking, "thinking about it". Right behind me were a couple of "chatty Cathies" oooohing and ahhhhing over it. I think they were probably going to come back for it, so after they walked past I turned around, walked back to it and pulled the tag and went up and paid for it, lol. Always have been glad I did! The Fleet-Wing Corporation was created by Sohio in 1928. Pennzoil bought Fleet-Wing from Sohio in 1970. I found that in Wayne Henderson & Scott Benjamin's Guide to Gasoline Logos Book.

I know this is an old thread, but I am struggling to price two 2gal Fleet Wing XT Oil Cans. One is half full. I have found zero sales for the XT and even a google image search results in only 1 image. I've had a lot of interest, but I paid a good amount for it and do not want to take a loss. My thinking is it would appeal to Penzoil and Sohio collectors, any thoughts? 1 can is in very good condition, with no rust or dents. The other has some dents and a tiny amount of rust, where the seal meets the bottom of the can (that is the 1/2 full one) Would $100 be out of line for these?
