This globe was used by the Pan Am Southern Corporation of New Orleans, LA circa 1925. Pan Am was an affiliate of Standard of Indiana. This is the globe pictured on the globe CD which lists the value at $2500. There are only 1 or 2 of these globes in known collections. Price is $1800 + shipping.

I can't believe this globe hasn't sold. This is going to be the last price drop.

Apparently the "book" is incorrect.
Hopefully you didn't rely on it too much when you bought the globe.

No, I've had this one in my collection for many years. But as an active globe collector I find the "book" to be quite conservative when it comes to values on rare globes. In other words....I can sell bargains but I'm rarely able to buy bargains.
