If you don't want to get "hosed" be sure to get an opinion/value from several collectors, there is always somebody that will pay more.

I reckon it would depend on the condition of the Red Head quarts and which quart tins they were but in my personal opinion a Buffalo tin is worth significantly more than two Red Head quarts.

put the buffalo tin on ebay and run it with no reserve. then take the money and buy the Red Head quarts, you'll probably end up better that way

Yikes! No way I'd cut eBay in on the profits of an item like that!

That can a couple years ago was worth around $400-$500 but Buffalo has soared lately with people spending ridiculous amounts on beater cans from what I have witnessed the past 1-2 years.
Red Head quarts on the other hand have always been rare and I have seen them run $1800 a piece for the Red cans and a grand each on the solvent cans if you can even find one? If I had two Red Heads, I'd be keeping them over any flat buffalo tin. Don't know any collectors that would trade away even one Red Head now days.
Maybe the common yellow cans, but not the good ones?
