Cool, thanks. That commercial was probably considered very advanced in its day with the way the sign turns into a face.

Awesome video. I agree - that "morphing" was way ahead of its time.

It's a Cities Service commercial. I feel that it's not as well-made, but it does have a cool (DeSoto?) car in it, and some neat 1960 or so pumps.

I have a short film (converted to DVD ) made by Indiana Standard called "The Inside Story of Modern Gasoline". It's a (mostly) animated film that tells about how crude is refined to various petroleum products. Not to mention great shots of a then-new 1946 Standard station (with a new T&O sign).

The Internet Archive is where I found it. They also have other petro-related films. A word of caution though: the video files are HUGE!
