Matt, I too need to add my thanks for your posting of the images and the link to the Hemmings' article... I have seen the "before" image many times but, didn't ever know the background about the building... I hope Mr. Klein is able to bring the building back to its former glory.... As a side note, if you haven't seen this video featuring "Melba the Mouth" Rigg, check it out; you will meet a real Character. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8c1Yqfa0-Y

I hope Mr. Klein is able to bring the building back to its former glory.... Hey all, I would be said owner. And yes, I am bringing it back EXACTLY to it's former glory (of 1947 in which the B&W photo was taken). I have done A LOT of work prepping for the restoration both on the building and inside the building. I have it posted up on my website and actually am heading back out to the garage in a few weeks to continue working on it. Attached is the updated building as of a few months ago: And some interior shots from 1947: There will be a lot of work done to this place!!

Will be a glorious site to see when complete... But how are you going to deal with that road out front? Anything out front will be in genuine risk to those that just take what they want... Good luck.

I have that planned and expect some things to 'walk' - hence why I would rather have a sign reproduced by my sign guy for under $200 than go out and buy a good original for $800. Trust me - it sucks thinking your stuff is open for all to see, touch, and even take but I have been working on that as well.
