I have a question about a Clearvision gas pump that needs answering. Did the gallon numbering on the glass come in any other colour than red? Or were they different according to the tint of the glass? Thank you, John.

Not an expert, but have seen red and black. Red faded off turned the letters white. Some were just etched.

Thanks Craig. I have also heard blue, but part of the fun is learning.

It think that it also had to do with what color the glass possibly.

Just FYI I have a N.O.S. Blue glass cylinder and all 3 number rows are red....I have some that are yellow or dirty white on one side I believe this is fading from the sun. Im not saying there were not any other colors produced how would anyone that wasn't around 100 years ago know it's just my belief that most of them were made red someone else please prove this THEORY wrong!
