I just started cleaning a pole I took down sometime back and found a tag from Sinclair refining company 1937 Just wondering what year Sinclair started using the 6' HC sign? Would this pole had used a HC sign in 1937 when it was put up? THANKS

HC logo was used until at least 1959. We are trying to figure out the start time for it.

THANKS I was able today to get the orginal sign 6' HC. that came off the pole I had bought about 2 years ago. The man is 85 years old and he had kept it because his dad had run the station from 1938-1961,It started as Sinclair changed to Texaco and then shut down in the 70's. Two years ago when I was taking the pole down he came over to watch and told me the story and that he had the Sinclair but had already give the Texaco away. He did not want to sell it at that time So I stopped by to see him today and he sold it to me,so I could reunited it with the pole. Will post pics in future when I get it put up. THANKS FOR THE INFO
