Can someone help with a value on above listed pump plates in mint condition? Did they make these with and without the gromets in the six mounting holes? Sorry I don't have pictures but on the backs of all signs were SP61 or SPU61 maybe 1" size letters.
Thanks for any help
Roger

Sinclair used two different Diesel pump plates. The earlier one and harder to find one had the word Diesel in red letters with grommets in the 6 mounting holes. The later and more common version had the word Diesel in larger green letters. I never saw a green version with grommets. There have been several green ones on ebay lately, possible a box of them turned up someplace? I have seen the SPS61 markings before on both the green lettered Diesel plates and on some of the Sinclair Gasoline plates.

I think the SPS stands for the maker, Southwest Porcelain Signs.

I have seen NOS looking Sinclair Gasoline pump plates go for $125 and up lately. Some on eBay for a lot more. The gasoline plates are more common than the Diesel plates. I would expect to see a clean green lettered one with an asking price of $200 and up.
