I have to believe that Sunoco would never ever allow this design of their famous Logo....and I can't tell which part is the worst. LOL Sunoco Sign on Ebay

I saw that too. Proportions are all over the map.
I'm sure it's fake, but here are some actual examples of bad arrow artwork on these trucks. The 1st maybe a sticker that Parish Oil had made. The 2nd, Mr. Barker decided to save a buck and have his sister do the art work on his truck.

The Sunoco sign and Steve's truck photos show an issue that was more common than I knew. Marathon also had an issue in the late '70's with bulk plant dealers having company logos painted on their tank wagons and bulk plant signage made not meeting TM requirements. This was such a problem for The Ohio Oil back in the 1950's with the complicated Runner design they actually changed their logo to a simpler design in 1962. The M we recognize today. During the late 1950's we see several "Test" versions that were used.
