I envy you guys who get to go to all the swap meets, but most are too far for me to travel. (probably a good thing) The closest to me ( Vermont)is the Mass Bash and the Northeast Bash in CT.
I am wondering if there are any members here who would go to one in Vermont and would appreciate any suggestions from any members that may have organized one. Im not sure I am willing to take this on, but thought Id gauge the interest first.
To my knowledge, there arent many collectors near me. There are 2 very good auto shows a year in this area so am thinking maybe it would be good to talk to them and see if I can hook on to one of their shows.

hello vermonter.....i live in delaware.....the only gas show i go to is mason dixon and it is 2.5 hours from me....i also go to the other "anything goes" swap meets, hershey, carlisle, englishtown, cowtown macungie and the delaware state show.....i personally would not come up to vermont to a gas show...i think timing would be crucial in promoting a show and how many people would attend.....if you planned a show close to all the other shows in late march and april, i would surely pass on a show in vermont....but at the right time with nothing to do...who know where i would travel????

i am just one opinion in a sea of many

see me at Mason Dixon Gas, Spring Carlisle M114-115, and Hershey C4E-35.

I am 30 minutes from VT-NY-CANADA border and I would sure go to your show if the date is right (spring or fall?).

I have the same problem that you have... all good shows are many hours from here. Have to go to Hershey or Carlisle once in a while.

Good luck
Mike

Wish I was close enough to Hershey or Carlisle. Just about as far away as can get in the lower 48 !

Start out by inviting a few collectors for a Saturday get together [if you have the room at your place].

Thanks for the advice everyone. As far as timing, I was thinking of the Fall. Guys might be able to convince their wives to come to look at the leaves and have a "Vermont experience"
Gassstuff, Ill shoot you an email. I never heard of that show. It would be about 3.5 hrs from me, but I have family out that way, so could do a combined trip.
