Last one. Nice Hershey's sign.
Custom made from my neon friend in Washington. The neon tube is green when on or off, looks white in the picture.
18 3/4" long.
I've looked for three years for Kentucky road signs with no luck, and now I've picked up two in the past two months. That's collecting for you...
local history here for me went to all 3 back in the day,
5 bucks for this fence hanger today. will clean up little better but my fingers were done being in the 30's today,
Another piece of local history for me...
A couple of items I picked up.
1. 8 foot hammerhead shark mount
2. Large all original koken stained glass barber pole. This is the more unusual larger version.
Early celluloid over cardboard Hartford Insurance sign....
After this for 12 years. From a customer/ friend.. Gave it to me for cleaning his furnace!
Man what a bunch of great finds. That shark is killer, the battery stand outstanding and Mick that one armed bandit is drop dead gorgeous.
canadian french tin sign for opera soda
and some tin toys
german gunthermann streetcar tram
italian SFC motorycle wind up toy
and a french joustra deauville convertible electric toy
Wow, great payment for a furnace cleaning Mick. I like it.
Jeez , Mick. What do you charge to clean a furnace? Like 1200.00?
Jim..I wish! I have been after this slot for about twelve years .the owner is a customer, and I have been asking every time see him for service. The answer was always no,not gonna sell it.. This year,I cleaned the furnace, and as the machine was still in its usual spot,I said" you ready to sell me that slot machine yet?" He said" Ive been trying to get rid of it,give me 25.00?" I said " what?" He said again"25.00" I said "are you serious?" (He knows what it is,and also the value) I told him I'd give him the 25 and the cleaning, but he just said the cleaning would be fine .it works fine, pays out,and takes all your money(just like the Vegas ones) am happy to be the new caretaker of this piece, and also glad that my customer trusted me enough to allow me to do that. After a good cleaning,it's going in the living room,to be admired and take friends money!lol!
Uh-Oh! Looks like we can expect to be directed over towards the slot machine, whenever we visit Mick!
New sign out front that says "Micks Casino"?
Happy to pick up a few early items
More local stuff (thanks Brandon)...
I also picked up this little wooden agriculture sign. I don't know what it's off but I like it…

Thanks Bob, I like a diverse collection in the house and everywhere else, this industrial fan is one of the next pieces to get cleaned up, motor gone thru(although it works)rewired and in the house about 7'tall & 25"dia. nice heavy cast base, got a corner picked out already for it
couple freebies today, safe is a monster 3' high and about 24" square 6" thick door and sides took a hi-lo to get on the trailer and a engine puller to get off, I don't hardly ever restore anything anymore but this may be one piece I do.
poor mans anvil, someone put a lot of work into grinding this old piece of railway track
Picked up this great edelweiss beer sign recently I'm told it's 1930's early 1940's?
found this one over the weekend
:
A rectal theophylline sign, amazing find! You'll have put that one in the bathroom.
RC VMC 81? Are those the decals you made Joey? Awesome machine!Come out of Dogpatch USA? I know that old park is in your backyard!Nice one Buddy! Mark
I bought on friday for a 5 € this really nice piece of local history, it's a cardboard poster for a local brand of coffee, Philips & Cie that was established here in Liege Belgium since 1812, I think the poster is from early 1900 and was done near where I live
Notice the small stuffed toy in the bottom corner of the picture of the rectal theophylline sign. He is called EneMan. A friend at the flea market found several cases of EneMan and calendars. I bought one EneMan last week then this week at a yard sale I bought that sign from another friend. Fleet is a local company.
Yes Mark, I found it down in the hollows of Dog Patch. I bought it of Daisy Mae and had to fight off a Shmoo while getting it loaded. And yes just decals....
Butch I came in third place on that sign. You got a good one. I dont like how the seller covered that chip in the "H" with the tape measure in the main photo. Never the less it a beauty.
Picked up all these pump jack signs with a good friend awhile back.
I didn't notice the tape measure covering the chip, until I won it. The truth is, I've only had two of these original marked signs. I've seen several black backed ones, that I think are a great re-pop. Glad to get this one.
I got this Laundromat porcelain neon sign from another oldgasser- happy to have it.
