Lost my mother in law - Mon Apr 23 2018 12:56 PM
Good morning gang!
My wife and I went to the cabin Friday night like we usually do when she is not at the hospital working. Saturday morning we drove about 2 hours to pick up a light that I had bought a few weeks ago, then we goofed off a little bit hitting some junk and antiques shops. We got back to the cabin about 3pm, I went to the basement to work on a few things and Bobbie took the bulldogs for a walk. About 4.30 Bobbies dad called and said that the ambulance just left the house with her mom Lisa. We were of course about 2.5 hours away from Duluth. Bobbie called her doctor friend to see what was going on with her mom. Lisa had an aneurysm that has probably been with her since she was born. Saturday was the day that it finally decided to let go. The Neurologist talked to Bobbie (as we were on our way back to Duluth) and told here that he was seeing signs of the brain stem starting to die and that there was not anything that anybody could do. About an hour later we got the call that she had passed.
Bobbie is doing good and seems to be at peace with this. Her sister seems to be doing good as well. Her dad and brother seem to be struggling quite a bit, hopefully they will be ok with a little time.
