I've got one of these hanging in my garage that is a $10 fake. I didn't know whether a real one was made or not. I always considered them a fantasy item, but I'm not an expert. Thanks.

VERY few companies ever used a DBL logo on Stop Your Motor/No Smoking signs.
The back looks really clean and the grommets don't look right.
Also, in the description the word "original" is not used just "collectible enamel porcelain sign".
IMO it's fake.

I would think the "old style" logo-ed Phillips sign would be using the smaller split grommet instead of the newer "solid grommet".
If I was looking for a Phillips 66 sign, this one would be on my "pass on by" list.
That other one is doing alright on ebay,
that 10. ivestment might pay off
I think all of them are repops...the one at 128 has likely had some "assistance" with the wear thats on it (check out the dudes feeback...and the signs that have sold...skelly...red crown...all repops with "assisted wear"). I have never seen a picture of a real phillips 66 NS sign......maybe a Phillips collector will chime in on whether they were ever made or not...
Please refer to page 61 of Vic's 08 catalog.Looks pretty close to me.
LOL...That assisted wear can fool a person if they're not careful.
Fake.............I got all you want for $18.00!
