Came across a photo today that caught my eye. Turns out a company called Mark Hurd Surveys took residence at the Santa Barbara Airport in the 1950s-1960s operating with a half dozen WWII P-38 Lightings.

Thought it would be appropriate to share the photo since the Chevon sign is in the background. I'm sure Hotcidr and DB remember them well since it's in their backyard.

Anyone else have any old aviation and gas photos they care to share.

For awhile the Pregnant Guppies were stationed at SB Airport, haven't seen any there for a few years now.

Back in the days [1960's] when Oxnard Air Force Base [in Camarillo] was active, there were times a U-2/SR-71 was stationed there.
