Matt, your collection of pumps is enviable! You don't really need two Wayne40's and I know a guy who really wants one!
Posted By: Lost Highway Re: Updated pictures - Mon Mar 28 2011 03:42 AM
i hope you never restore the turquoise 60t. i think if i could have any pump, anywhere, itd be that one

Looking good Matt. I'll have to come by and see your place sometime!
Posted By: MATT ALVAREZ Re: Updated pictures - Mon Mar 28 2011 03:50 AM
Chris, the M&S 70 is brush painted. Wanted to try something different.

Lance, you would not want my 40s - they have no guts.

Jason, you are welcome to come by, just let me know. I would like to see your office, it is just hard to get out your way during business hours.

WOW. Very nice.
Your work bench looks like an old drafting table. I've got one very similar.

Matt, awesome to see your collection. Also great to see people just dont collect restored beauty queens. I was wondering the other day why we don't have a "show your garage thread"

do you let just anyone back your car into your garage ? smile

Now you have seemed to outgrow your garage. Like the rest of us you need a bigger building and taller to grow with your great finds and restorations. Looks good

Terrific looking collection, Matt! You have a lot of "eye candy" there. Most of it looks as if one could lift up the nozzle from the receiver and start pumping gas into a vintage rig. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Agreed, Matt - you HAVE outgrown your garage. I'll tell you what (as a favor), I will take a few off your hands all you have to do is ship them to San Antonio and that will take care of your problem. LOL - VERY nice collection.

What is that truck that we can see the headlight of?

I especially like the crackle finish on the Flying A.

...looks good, Matt - you DO need a bigger garage...

NOWWW I see the problem - you have too many trucks. I will extend my offer to me buying my own airline ticket and I will take those two old gas guzzlers off your hands and drive them back to San Antonio. Obvisously my original offer still stands and you can just load the pumps in the back of the truck(s). Anyway, back to reality - those are things of beauty you have an outstanding collection. I love the '56!!! Thanks for sharing.

I was messaging with my friend Kyle, a member here that mentioned this thread I did in 2011. He started collecting in 2011 and his collection has changed a lot sense then. Mine has changed a lot as well and decided to add to this thread with new updated pictures. There is more pictures this because it is too crowed to get good overall pictures. I did another thread in 2012 called The and now http://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=313783&page=1 you may be interested in this one as well.

Looks great Matt. Awesome collection. Do you still have the trucks, or did you sell them for garage space??
Posted By: wayno48 Re: Updated pictures - Tue Apr 17 2018 05:49 AM
Nice Signal pump. Is that a Bennett 541 with no add glass?
Posted By: JimT Re: Updated pictures - Tue Apr 17 2018 09:48 AM
Your collection just gets more and more impressive Matt. You have so many amazing pieces.
Posted By: Wasatch Man Re: Updated pictures - Tue Apr 17 2018 02:18 PM
Mind boggling , and impressive are the only words I can think of .
Posted By: MATT ALVAREZ Re: Updated pictures - Wed Apr 18 2018 04:50 AM
Thank you for the comments.

The trucks are gone. I got burnt out on my truck hobby. The nice green one was the last to go. The sale of it is what got the Erie 53 and Wayne 50 (as well as some other things) into the collection.

The Signal pump with no ad glass is a Bennett 371, looks the same as a 541.

Matt,
I always enjoy looking at your pumps! What is even better is talking with you about how you acquired each one! Keep going!

Very nice collection! I really like the Firestone display smile
Posted By: Nicole Re: Updated pictures - Tue May 01 2018 02:00 AM
I remember you also had an outdoor collection--porcelain pumps I think. Good thinking about the trucks--you can get more pumps in your garage than trucks... : D

Beautiful collection!

So what model is the Bennett with ad glass front and rear and not on the sides ?
