I attempted to match the crackle on my Wayne 730. I started with painting the panels red then applied the decals. I was afraid to stick them on after because I do not trust the crackle coat, it peels easy. After that I put on the crackle coat then the white paint after the crackle coat dried. When it was done I rubbed some dirt on it to dirty the white paint a little, it was to "clean" looking. I am not 100% happy with the crackle match but it does look a lot better.

I think it looks absolutely great Matt. It matches the top great. Did you use the Elmer’s glue technique?

Absolutely terrific job and great look! You can not tell, from the pictures, that the lower panel finish is newly created.

As usual, impressive Matt. Being all white really makes a great pump way better.

Are you able to do like a whole door with the crackle & then apply the top coat? Or do you have to do smaller areas at a time? Either way that pump looks awesome!!

Thanks everyone.

I used a cracked product that is similar to Elmer`s glue.

The crckle coat was applied to the whole panel before the top coat, not in small patches.

Looks great Matt. If I hadn't seen the before and after pics I would think the whole pump was original. Nice job.
