My dad passed away last April unexpectedly. Dad and I both have been collecting off and on for many years, pumps, signs and everything else related to oil & gas as he was a Gulf and Texaco dealer many many years ago. Since his passing I have been going through some of his stuff and here are some original documents that I hope you guys enjoy looking at as much as I do. These books have a ton of info in them.

Great stuff, thanks for sharing. Those color chips are a great resource for pump restorers. I wish there was a way to match those colors up with PPG or other paint companies' chips.

Sorry for your loss! The Texaco station color book is amazing!

...wouldn't be much use to pump restorers...those colors were for painting other things at the station...maybe the pump colors are on another page...either way, Texaco's colors are well-known and easy to match...

...that said, it's a nice little archive...I'd like to see some of the Gulf stuff...

Thanks, guys. Dad was 73 and had come back home last March 31st from drinking coffee with his buddies and fell over dead just within about 10-15 minutes of walking the door. No signs, warnings, nothing. Massive heart attack. We are coming up on a year now and every time I go into his man cave/shop it is still hard to do and will be for quite some time I believe. Dad owned (2) Texaco's and (1) Gulf full-service stations back in the 70's. When I worked there for him I used to throw away cans and tons of other stuff that people today now collect, LOL. If I had only known. Some of the best memories of my life.

These books have several pages of info in them. Didn't see anything on the pump colors themselves but I will keep digging around. If I can find the energy and gumption (LOL) I will scan all these books and post them up for everyone to have a copy.

As far as Gulf stuff, I didn't see much Gulf related documentation but I will also continue looking.
