I may have to search this out when I'm in Des Moines for Christmas.

In hunting for it on "Street View", I noticed that all the power pole bases were painted white. This is on the old "White Pole Road", which was the name for the highway before they started using the state numbering system. US Highway 6, which it became, parallels I-80 and for a stretch west of Des Moines they have the poles painted like they would have in the early 20th century.

Cool sign! I have seen it in person.

Cool sign...looks like the left arm moves and waves as motorists are driving by.

The arm also waves I think at noon. It use to wave at every hour or something like that.

This is one that I have, I think it's about 14' tall.

I will be out that way in July and need to take a good study of it (photos and measurements) as I want to recreate one for the Front Street Garage on Route 66 in Galena KS!!
