I am exploring the possibility of coming down again, but this time not with a 24 ft truck filled will neon signs. Gas pumps this time. Which hotel would be close and safe, as last time I believe that I was in the wrong place. Lots of stuff to see.

Thinking of bringing 850 Tokheim, Simplex, National Oil can cabinet with station lite, Tall 39, Eco air & water, Wayne visible, Shell one piece globes, Possibly the DM 450 double clockface or Clearvision canadian Double. Have to see how much room and weight I can carry. Most of the pumps are in primer with plating done. Maybe I can stand next to Mike so that he can make me look good, and meet Uncle Dick.

Tom, looks like I'll be going down to Fred's this year with Tiffany and my brother. Tom (Franklin) convinced me to go this year. Should be great! Is it set up on Friday and bash on Sat or is the gas bash both days?

Andrew (and anyone else), you definitely want to be there Friday. I think a few guys want to "mark' there territory (as I do for Ted in the Lodi corner) on Thurs. Set up is Friday A.M. & selling all day & Sat. as long as people keep buying. Craig, hope you make the trip down, always enjoy seeing your killer stuff. Not that far off.... make plans now!!! P.S. Getting LOTS of calls about the bash. Might be the biggest one yet. We have plenty of room for vendors & lots of parking for buyers. NO charge to get in....we want the vendors to profit, not us!!! Food & beverages on site. If you're "on the fence" about it, fall off on the side that sez "get yer A** there"!!!!

Bring some more of your good stuff!! I'll be there a week early & Fred & myself will have flyers posted at all the local "car" places & craigslist ad will be going that week. We're getting lots of calls & people have been stopping by the ranch to look at the signs Fred has put up. If you've never been to this event, it's good one.

Talked to Fred today, sez his phone has been ringing constantly about this years bash. Get over there, LOTS of guys are bringing LOTS of stuff to sell!!!!!!!!!!!

PNW will be well reprsented this year. Some new vendors are setting up & bringing lots of great stuff. On site food vendor, great weather, no admission fee, plenty of local winery tours, friday night dinner............

Just received news that "Mr. Flying A" himself is going to pay us a visit...................

I spoke with the marblehead yesterday and he won't be able to make it. I won't be there either unfortunately. Already looking ahead to 2011 though, The AACA is holding their Grand National meet in Santa Rosa on Aug. 24-28. It's the ultimate car show, would be nice to have Fred's meet near that time.

Received a call today from a well known PNW collector/dealer. He's setting up for the 1st time at the bash & says he's bringing some stuff that "hasn't seen the light of day for over 30 years"!!! Also says he's bringing lots of "smalls" & some rare signs. Ya better come check it out...

Guys I will be down for sure this year. I am rearraging my shop, so I will be bringing a few nice Associated and Flying A signs. A really nice Sherwin Willaims two sided Porc sign. Also some smalls and duplicate's from my collection. I am still pulling stuff off the walls, so if you like Flying A stuff, be at Fred's on Friday.

You can take I-5 or 99 to 12 and head westbound through Fairfield towards Napa. Then go to Petaluma and head north on 101. However, in my opinion, the money you spend on the toll will be well worth the time you'll save.

Now I am getting excited and I am too old to work all night to get these pumps ready. Its going to rain here on the weekend and I am in desperate hope that there will not be rain there. Anybody know what the weather is going to be ? May have to use a different truck.

Craig, forecast is for partly cloudy skies on Fri. with temps about 80. Sat. there is a chance of showers with temps mid 70's. Hope this helps with decision on which truck to use. Ruben, not sure on the best way for you to get here. Hwy 12 is pretty straight through Rio Vista but on the other side of I-80, it's pretty windy & some narrow 2 lane areas. See you guys Friday!!!

12's a slow drive through some small towns in wine country. fun drive, but not when you're trying to make time. shell out the bucks for the Richmond-San Rafael 580 bridge.

I understand that in addition to the Lodi Corner, there will be a "penalty corner" for point of sale "deal busters" ("I have one just like that, I paid $10 for it, how much are you about to pay?")

Also the fantasy sign police will supposedly be going around taking note of repro signs made out of aluminum not steel, or too much plastic not porcelain on refaced and refurbished items. ;-D

Had a great 1st day of the show. LOTS of killer stuff showed up & the dealers seemed pleased with both selling & buying. Pollyman took alot of photos so watch for 'em!!!!!

Sure that figures..............I started this thread and I can't make it to the show ! I've got way too many repair jobs going on. They're all time sensitive so that just adds to the pressure. I'm greatful for the work but it would be nice if the jobs were spread out a little. Two months from now I'll probably be wondering where my next meal is coming from !

I guess my for sale items will have to wait for the next show. It's OK, I like looking at them.

I sure hope somebody will post some pictures so I know what I'm missing.

I hear that Scott, gotta take the work as it come in. Feels good to have a steady work load since Iowa Gas. Gotta start saving again for next year.

It was great to see everyone there and to hang out with you guys. I would have loved to stay much later, but had to pick the kids up. Picked me up some goodies at the show. Wanted to get more, but just picked up two other items the day before the show. Here are the items I got.

I had fun at Fred`s. Picked up two pumps. One on credit, some people make it too easy to get stuff. I have a big two sided Shell sign on the lay-away plan and now a pump on credit. In the past I got four other pumps on lay-away or credit.

Tom - What a great show! Got there around 7:30 with a friend and stayed for a couple of hours. What's not to like? Easy parking, great weather, and terrific selection of "stuff" (as my wife calls it). Only thing we missed was the bbq, but sometimes it's hard to make 10 or so "passes" around the area when the friend doesn't have the same level of "affliction"!!! Great job and look forward to next year!

This was, by far, the best and most vendors I can remember from all the years I've gone. I did well selling the final few signs from my collection and Tom did a great job setting this up. I understand that Fred can "take it or leave it" so we need to keep Tom excited. I have a very few signs left from my collection. Check ebay the next couple of days. Thanks again Tom

I think that I was one of the first "buyers" to arrive on Friday. I got there at 6:30am. Still was dark and foggy. Mostly everyone still asleep. I left around 11:30am.

Just got home. Got side tracked over at Bodega. Great show and Thanks Tom, had 5 bullets left when I got home. Not bad out of 90. Tim and Sue, Rick and Chris, Paul and Gloria, Tom and Tom what keeps the Lodi corner what it is and always will be. Too wild for most and almost too much fun.
