Hello all:
Just wanted to let everyone know about our 5th annual show coming up July 10-11, 2009 in Susan Moore, Alabama. Everyone is welcome to attend whether vendors or spectators. Last year we had 55 vendors and it is looking like we might increase that number this year due to calls we have already had.
The show is approximately 35 miles north of Birmingham just off Alabama Hwy 75. We will have signs up north and south of the entrance so you shouldn't have any problems finding us. For the ones who have a GPS the physical address is 676 Wynnville Road, Susan Moore, AL.
There will be food and drink(soft) on the premises. We look forward to you being there...Dale
I hate to say that I will not be able to attend the show this year. Went last year and had a great time. I recommend this show if you have the time. Dan
This will be my first time coming to the meet and looking forward to it.
One of the fastest growing gas and oil shows in the south. I am glad to see this show has increased in participation every year since it started. It's a real good, laid back swap meet that has a little something for everyone. See yall there!
I'll be there Friday, not selling this year though, i'll be looking for a deal!!
Crap!...I was just down in that area 2 weeks ago.
That sounds like a really nice show.
Post pictures if anyone can..
I will be bringing the paddywagon again this year full of goodies. I always sell well there.
A good time and I always find a few pieces for my collection.
Dale, James and Ivan do a bang up job ever year and like Larry said, it's a show that has grown every year.
It will be great to see the Alabama gang again.
I like wearing my LSU stuff there.
LSU Tigers Baseball
2009 National Champs
So what is the cost of setting up there?
How big are the spaces?
Any buildings or do you have to bring your owne shade?
If I can get Betsy resurrected by then I would like to sell a few signs.
I haven't done any kind of show in 18+YEARS.
Got pics of last years?
Hi Joe:
The space rental is $40 for all the space you need. Sorry, but you do have to bring your own shade. As for pictures, there were some pictures posted on this site last year of our show. They were posted by "reb". I'll try to look up the pictures and let you know where to look for them. We look forward to having you set up to sell and just being there....Dale
Joe:
I looked back to find the pictures from last year and they had been deleted out, I guess. I found the post where they had been listed, but couldn't pull them up. Sorry...Dale
Can I have my vehicle in the space?
Isn't the event held in a big feild?
....I am trying to devise a stratgey against the sun.
Hey Joe. You can set up next to us. We are up on the hill next to the shade trees. We'll have a generator and fans to help keep cool. You can keep your vehicle at your space, too. You'll enjoy it and have a good time. Hope to see you there. Larry
I am probably not going to be there till SAT.,Early.
I only plan on spending 1 day there.
What time does it get going?
Who do I talk to about reserving that spot and do I need to send the cash now or pay Sat. morning, or ?????
If anyone is interested in saving the shipping cost of having a computer rebuilt, you better speak up now. I won't have time to mess w/ it next week.
I have a few in stock, but I will need pics of your core to set up the reset linkage, and to ID the model, so I know what to bring.
Thanks guys
Joe
Hi Joe:
Like Larry said, you can set up close to him next to the trees on the hill. You can pay when you arrive Saturday morning and it is OK to have your vehicle in your spot. It will start as early as it's daylight. The earlier you get there the better. Thanks and if you have any more questions just reply back. It might be a little late when I answer you back tonight, but I will get back to you...Dale

A buddy and I were thinking about coming down from NC to the show on Friday...whats the best time to get there (I know to subtract at least one hour
and will there be a lot of vendors set up on Friday? We thought about heading down Thursday night because we can only stay for Friday morning and possibly into the afternoon but didnt know if there would be anyone around later on Thursday. We have an auction on Sat and need to get back in time to "semi" recoupe. Looks like it will be one heck of a show. Thanks all!
Joey
Hi Joey:
The show will start at daylight on Friday. Most of the vendors will either be set up or in the process early Friday. Thanks for the inquiry...Dale
Daylight...so I suppose by 6am-ish ballpark...We may head down on Thursday night and get a hotel or something...getting there by 8 am from NC would mean a 2 am start (UGHHH...) although it has been done before lol...Thanks for letting me know.
Don't forget the time difference.
When I worked in Eastaboga, it would take me about 55 minutes to get there from Carrollton.
I could leave here at 8:00am and get there at 7:55am.
It took almost 2 hrs to get home.
Subtract one hour going there and add one going home.

Yeah, that would be a little difficult. 7-8 AM will be about right. This is Central time. Thanks again...Dale
Thanks for reminding me of the time change...3 am sounds much better than 2am...$60 not spent on a hotel equals $60 more towards signs n goodies
Thanks to all who have responded to us about our show thus far. It is looking to be a great show with all the new vendors we have had calls from requesting spaces and also to our past vendors who have called to confirm their old spaces. Don't forget, please, that it is coming up Friday and Saturday, July 10th and 11th. See you there....Dale
Decided last week to go to show. Haven't been in four years. Looking forward to seeing and meeting people. Plan on being there
Thursday evening to get set up for early a.m. Friday. See ya there! Pat.
Thanks for all the pictures. Wish I was there.
I will be there in the morning
I hope to make it by 6:00
All of us vendors would like to thank Ivan, James, Dale and his son Mike, for all of their time and effort to put on a successful gas and oil show. We all had a great time and it was good to see everybody. Everyone that I talked with said they did well in selling and are planning on returning next year. If you weren't able to attend this year, get it down on your calendar for next year. The shows just keep getting better each year. We all enjoyed the tractor show, hit and miss engines and the good ole bluegrass band. The weather was great too. Most important, we want to wish Tim Hickman a speedy recovery. Hope to see you soon, Tim. Thanks, Larry
Thanks guys for another great show.I cant wait til next year either. It gets better every year.
Just wanted to say thank you for the hospitality at your show. We had a great time and picked up some great items. Great folks and good times!
Joey
I did ok for the short time I was there.
I was a little dissapointed more pumps & parts didn't show up.
But it was a good show, I got to meet a lot of people I already know.
Just make sure you don't speed through Ohatchee. 2x fine
I made the last 10 miles home in a tow truck.
Water pump went out ....arggg.
I look forward to next year.
Time to change a water pump today....arggggg
I wanted to take a day off.
On behalf of James, Ivan and I, we would like to thank everyone that took a part in making our show a success again this year. Whether you were a vendor or a buyer, we owe you a very "well earned" thank you and may GOD bless you all. There were several oldgassers that came that I finally got to put a face with the name and that makes it better for future shows everywhere.
I really enjoyed talking to everyone and learning about their interests in our great hobby and look forward to seeing them all again.
As Joe mentioned above, pumps and parts were a little scarce. Everyone in our neck of the woods are really hungry for pumps and most of the ones that do show up are sold. So, you guys with a lot of pumps for sale, start bringing them here and I assure you that you will do well.
Thanks again for making our show successful....Dale
Anyone know the price on the P&G White Naphtha Soap sign and who had it? Thanks
This was my first time attending this show and I had a fantastic time. I found some good items to take home and met some great people. Dale and Larry it was great to meet you guys, and I really enjoyed talking with you. It’s always fun to attend the shows where the emphasis is on buying and selling and seeing friends, not set up times, registration fees, and lists of rules. A big thanks to the hosts of the show and all of the hard work they put into bringing this event together. Hope to see you in Iowa!
We have have just come back from this show for the first time and wanted to say that the hosts put on a nice show and we sold well and also bought a few nice items. It was worth the long ride and if time is available would go back Lenny

Hi:
I tried to find out the name of the person who had the sign but had no luck. The price to the best of memory was $650. I'll try to check with others to see if I can get a name and number. Thanks...Dale
