Can anyone tell me more info regarding this sign? Age, value, etc. It is painted wood (Masonite?), is 30", and is double sided. I have seen the sign on the old MacMillan advertisements, but never have seen another sign image posted anywhere. Is this one of their earlier signs? Any info would be appreciated...

Best way to clean this old Masonite sign?

My procedure: Soap, water, and careful DABBING (not rubbing) with a soft cloth. Old paint on Masonite can tend to flake, and rubbing during the cleaning process can remove flakes of paint. It's possible that a painted Masonite sign like this may not come bright, squeaky clean. So, don't overdue your cleaning attempt. John
