Can someone take a look at these and advise:
1) Manufacturer
2) How Old
3) Value as is?
4) if the door can't be found how hard to locate a replacement?
Bennett pumps.
1940's 50's?
I would not pay much more then 600 for the pair
Yes a door can be found easily
In my area these pumps would easily bring $700-800 each
Ok will try to go look at them. Need to see if meters are there and how much rust.
So the next questions you can help a newbie on is
1) How much do you think they would bring if restored
2) are these very popular of should I look for another model?
May wait and hit a few swap meets or IOWA next year
No more than $300 for the one missing the door, and $500 max on the other one. These pumps have a lot of stainless & it can get expensive to buy it all piece by piece.
I have not had much luck selling pumps that I have completely and meticulously restored. So I cant offer my opinion on that.
They are a pretty popular model. Parts are readily available.
Why not go to Iowa Gas this week?
Bet you find everything you need there, and more.
Thanks for all the help and advice
I have Iowa on my list for next year. Can’t make it this year due to my aunt’s health
I sell that model restored for about $3500. But I'm talking stripped to metal, straightened, multiple primers, painted with clear/buffed everywhere. Hard to make money on restoring out-sourcing the work to others.
