Thanks for the opportunity to educate myself in memorabilia.
Was in the attic and discovered what I had forgotten I had,
Would like to get appraised and I have been on the internet with no luck at all until I found this site.A lot of nostalgia.
I hope this is ok to post.
Looking for ideas where I can go to find out more or possible auctions
Thank you

Hard to tell from pictures. Is the sign part just a piece of sheet metal?
Here is a picture of mine and I've seen 2 others in my 11 years collecting Sunoco. I've never seen one like yours. Mine is all castings. Honestly, I think someone made yours. I do not think it is original Sunoco issue.
As for value, Sorry, I don't see much. Just hard to say.

And here is one in action. Only picture I have of one.

Very nice.
I do know for a fact that it came off a built in 1950 Sunoco station as I personally watched it being removed. Maybe it was made after the station was built Wished I knew.
Thanks

John, just curious, what did the building look like? Did it look like the one in the picture above?

Yes it did. Identical. I lived across the street from it over 40 years ago. Unfortunately now it is an antique shop.

I am trying to reach out to Sunoco to see if they could enlighten me

Here's another interesting thought on this.
The sign on the left is older then the one on the right.
Notice on the older sign, the arrow shape (matches your vane) and is different than the newer sign (arrow point back and matches my vane).
