I bought 9 gas globes today and I'm thinking some might be reproductions. I'm going to post pictures, any help would be appreciated.

These are the globes that concern me:

Sinclair H-C: Bottom says "OFFICIALLY LICENSED BY SINCLAIR OIL CORP"

Texaco Ethyl: Bottom says "OFFICIALLY LICENSED PRODUCT"

Mobilgas: Bottom says "LICENSED BY EXXON MOBIL OIL CORPORATION"

These are the others that I felt were proper but any insight would be appreciated:

PINK PARAFFIN
SKELLY GASOLINE
TOP OCTANE REGULAR/SUPER
ACE HIGH GASOLINE
U.S. MOTOR
CONOCO

ANY globe that states "officially licensed" or "licensed by" would be a reproduction......

Never seen the Pink Parafin and it isn't in the book so don't know if it is a gas globe or something else. The U.S. Motor is one of many that used that designation but I don't know exactly which one it is. Top Octane should be a 12.5" globe. The Skelly should be on a wide glass frame to be correct. Skelly used capcos but that particular one came originally on glass. Why are the Ace High and Conoco wrapped in plastic wrap? The Ace high came on glass, Gill, and capco bodies so if it isn't notched it is for a gill. The Conoco may be a repro, I thought all of those had a green outline around the logos but I'm not a Conoco expert. Maybe someone else will chime in. You should buy a globe id cd from Scott Benjamin if you are going to deal in and collect globes......GB

Conoco is good and it looks like an original red capco too!
