Looking for some help from all our fellow gas and oil collectors. We came across this awesome barn find. Bowser self measuring pump with patent dates 1909-1912, with the original glass and I.D. tag. We were told it was for pumping oil in either pints or quarts. I have searched and searched and cannot find another one just exactly like it, especially with the glass tube on top. Thanks a lot for your help with ideas of value.

I bought this in Marfa Texas last summer. I'm not sure if this is very rare or if I wasted my money when I bought it.
I've asked several people, that I believe are very knowledgeable in this area, but none of them had ever seen one like this.
I did find an old advertisement showing the Lubster when it first came out.
Any information or direction to a website where I can find out more about it would be appreciated. And of course I'm curious to value but almost afraid to ask wink
Nozzle and hose missing is all I know.

Jean your is called a Lub-ster by Bowser, pumped oil.
Darlene the bowser you have would be in the 500.00 range. Some like that stood on their own
while yours was inserted in an oil tank of various sizes.

Wow that looks so much like it. Thank you for replying! Does yours have the foot pump? Anyone I talked to thought that made it rare.
I wish I had original hose! Any opinion of value?
