I own these two white eagle gas globes and have seen conflicting information on the value of these eagles. I believe there are three versions of these eagle and this is the middle level and the most rare eagles but would love some confirmation of that and also a valuation. Thank you for your help!

I am by no means an expert on anything White Eagle, nor would I consider myself knowledgeable of the brand but those eyes seem...different.

Best advice is to be extremely wary of reproductions. They are everywhere and seem to copy everything from globes and signs to pumps and cans. Do your research and when you think you have done enough, do more.

Very well said.

I have never seen these globes with these eyes. I'll check the feather pattern on mine because these seem to be different?

We believe that the eyes were added at some point, however they have been in my possession for 40 years so I know they are not reproductions. Not sure of the source as I got them as an inheritance from a relative.

Good answer!

Inheritance? Interesting...

You might "ruffle some feathers" with that answer.

Positive it wasn't a pawn shop liquidation? wink

They certainly look right to me. I think someone just got creative with some toy eyes. Looks like a Crow and Blunt nose-no? Do you have a picture or the one on the right with a side look at his head- so you can see the profile?

Are the eyes glued in? Take your fingernail and see if the pop off. It would be easy for someone who is not into the hobby to be tempted to ad eyes to ad realism to their eagles. The one on the right might be a little questionable. Lets see a better picture.

Here are a few more pictures of them. Thank you for the comments! Any one have an idea of valuation?

They look right to me with the eyes being an addition by someone later.

Both are original. You have the rarer Crown Version and the Full Feather Version. Someone added the eyes later no big deal. Scott B.

The only White Eagle that was reproduced was the full feather they should be dated-think it was 2002 or 2006 in the base area. The easy way to tell though is the shortened beak which was an error...

See above meant to say "Crow" version not "Crown" version...
