what is the value of a sign like this? 42 inch. Never seen 1 and hard to find anything online. This pic isn't the actual sign but have a friend who found one and said condition is similar to this picture. Assuming it's very rare but any ballpark idea of value
thank you

I paid $10,000 4 years ago. Mine is the red, whit & blue version. Hard to find the green one. One just like the one you have pictured, sold at the 2016 Barrett-Jackson Glendale show. Can't remember the price.

Hope this helps.

Seems like there was a member here who had a large Mobil shield collection he dispersed at auction a few years ago.....earlier than the 2016 auction Mike refers to. One of his signs was a 42" General as pictured. I do not remember for sure if it was green or RWB but I think green. They are not a common sign in either color. I am fairly certain it went for around $17,000.

The sign Donald is referring to was RWB and it came out of Rich Weir's auction at Iowa Gas. Mike Worley was the winning bidder, and surprisingly, that sign was not in his sale with Mecum last fall. Both signs are seldom offered for sale. I would like to have the green version.
