I have a Tydol gas globe original. Trying to learn more about it. Is there a year stamp on it somewhere? My research suggests 1936?? Tide oil and water company, New York. Any help appreciated. kgr5970@yahoo.com

Kevin, we will need to see an image of the globe before we can be of help. Tydol used many different globe logo designs, from the 1920s to 1956.

Here the pic of his globe. Looks like 15" on metal. Globe book says it dates from 1925-1941, so this style could have been used for quite a few years.
