Hi all,

Thought I’d try this again. I am looking for a US-51 highway sign.

I want one shaped like a shield, like the ones pictured. I prefer an old embossed original one, but would consider a modern one, as long as its original. I don't care if it has a state on it or not (although I prefer a Wisconsin, I will consider any).

Us-51 starts in Wisconsin, near the Ironwood, Michigan Upper Peninsula border and ends in New Orleans, Louisiana.

I'll keep an eye out for one, in that area. Think I mentioned to you before, I picked up some of these signs (cant remember if they had highway 51) in a antique store in Norway, MI (U.P.), they had like 20 of them in varying conditions, but that's was about three years ago now.

.... went back and looked at the old post, yeah you had already been there! Good luck, should be able to find. Ever do a "saved search" in ebay? That would work well for this, do a saved search for "51 sign", and ebay will send you an email when one is listed. I use that all the time to find something I know will eventually pop up.

Thanks Paul, I’ve never done a ‘saved search’ on eBay. I’ll give it a try, although I’ll have to do “highway 51 sign” because whenever I search “51 sign” I get a bunch of area 51 novelty alien signs. Lol.

Yeah, the trick to the search is getting the keywords just right!

Dang that one is cool. I will admit that went a little higher than I want to pay. After eBay taxes and shipping that was $600+. Maybe I won’t get one after all. Lol. ☹️
