Uploaded with ImageShack.us I am a serious collector of sign pole thermometers like those shown. Looking for examples from the following companies: Aetna A Plus, Bell, BP, Colonial, Dixie, Enarco, El Paso, Mileage, Midland, Marine, Northstar, Pan Am, Pennzoil, Pugh, Kendall, Royal RS, Statex, Shamrock, Sinclair Heating Oils, Standard Fuel Oils, Superior, Tripar and any other small or unusual companies. I also collect these thermometers with non gasoline advertising. I will pay top dollar for ones I can use. Let me know what you have and thanks for your attention.

I know nothing about these, but I go to a lot of auctions, flee markets, etc. What price range are these in, even if I am buying them for you?

Jack, Like most things there is a large price range. Common item such as Texaco, Mobil, Standard, Sinclair and Phillips start out in the $15 range with the rarer items on my want list bringing up to the $200 or more range. Ones with non gas advertising usually run in the $15 to $75 range depending on rarity and subject matter. I am not looking for any of the commons.

Have you ever seen Billups, Rose Oil, or Southland thermometers?

Haven't seen them nor heard of their existance and I know most of the large collectors. Find one and I would be a buyer.

Randy, About 10 years had a west coaster tell me he had seen one but I can't personally werify the existance of one. Find one and I'd be a serious buyer.

Randy, thanks for the photo. If there is one then there are some more out there. Doesn't appear to be a salesman's sample and there was a minimum order amount.
