Seems like there was a member of Old Gas who could make and cut the old fashion chicken wire glass used in most visible pumps . If there is anyone out there who does this let me know . I'm looking for one for my American visible pump 91/4 inch diameter . Thanks in advance . Ron
Looking for a piece of chicken wire glass for my American visible gas pump . 9 and 1/4 " diameter . If anyone has one let me know . Thank you , Ron
most glass shops should be able too take care of this for you .. ...
If you cannot find. Maybe try a building materials salvage yard or if in your area has a very old glass shop. If you can find a piece an experienced old glazier could cut it for you. Wire glass would be a challenge to cut a round piece out of.
The challenge is not cutting the glass - it's removing the unneeded portion.
You need to break up the scrap without breaking the circle and then trim off the excess wire.
Later . . .

many many years ago, late 70s, young and broke, trying to fix up a pump for my yard. I used two pieces of thin glass with some chicken wire sandwiched between. Gave the look of the real deal.
I wouldn’t worry about using chicken wire glass, nobody will see it once it’s assembled, just use normal glass. Chris
Thanks to all, I do appreciate the help . I will probably go with regular glass for it . No one near me handles it . I do try to keep them as close as possible to original . Thanks again to everyone .
Glass shop around the corner cut one for me for $35 for my American. Randy’s right, good shop probably has to order a piece and cut it. Took 2 weeks.
