Has anyone tried Evapo-rust to remove rust stains from a sign that the paint is still good on?
They say it want harm paint.
Thanks

I have used Evapo-Rust on a lot of things, and it will not harm paint, rubber, and plastic. Now, with that being said, I have seen paint come off certain areas of a part if the rust has worked its way under it. Other than that, Evapo-rust is a great product for all of our collectables. I have even thought of soaking a computer in it. Good luck on your project. Let us know how it turns out for you.

No issues at all.

I am trying to remove rusty water stains and not heavy rust.
How long would I need to keep the surface wet with evapo-rust?
Thanks

Well, with stain removal you may just try wetting a rag and rubbing. I cleaned some bare sheetmetal that was really rusty. The piece had some pretty severe rust. I used a Scotch-Brite pad as well. You probably don't want to do that though. Good luck.
