Got a pair of lenses with a recent purchase and are going to sell them. Problem is I do not know if they are repro or real. One is broken, the other is not. Any suggestions would be great as I do not want to mislead anyone.

Craig the ethyl globe I believe is a repop. Is there a date on the other single lens? Would like to see the back side of the lenses to tell for sure. Richard

I would assume they are 15" lenses? If so, the regular Texacos are definitely reproduction as they didn't make this design in 15". I have a single one that has the right "feel", but I was told they were possibly made in Canada in the 80's by someone who used the correct process, so they have the rough feeling backs. The green is not right on either.....

ok. thanks. They may have been made in the 80's then and not marked. They are 15".

The reproduction Canadian Ethyl's i've seen have a flat spot in the middle of the lense. They also made a shell globe with the same feature.
