I just bought this pump and would like to find out what the original brand it might have been. Most of the paint is long gone , but as seen in the pictures a form of red and yellow. Using google I have found several with the stripe on the doors.
But there is also a very dark green on the hips that is throwing me off.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Dave

Thinking I have too much Sunoco, might be time for a change but maybe. There is a old Sinclair station near me I remember from my childhood. It would be something from the old days. Since this one has green on it I may take it back to what it may have been.

I was thinking that because of the stripes on the front kinda look like the Sunoco ribbon signs for pumps but I could be way off...

Green and black Sinclair would look really nice on this pump. H-C would give you a little red to play with too.

Generic painted 60's from the factory came with the stripes on the doors......not brand specific in this case.
My thoughts are it was a red and yellow pump originally that was possibly repurposed to dispense diesel so was painted green.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts.
I removed a couple panels to clean out the debris inside. Also will start cleaning up the paint to get a better idea what is there.
I really love the look of the 60 pump!
I spent a couple hours looking and admiring it after work last night.
This is my first early pump so ill try to keep the rookie questions to a minimum. lol

That's good news about the generic pump colors. That gives me the freedom to go with any brand I chose.

I scrapped off some of the red, and under it is a dark blue/green. But only on the side panels and lower doors. Nothing on frame. upper side panels or top.
Ill post pictures later today.

Also no holes for any attached parts. No pump plate holes or leaded gas panel.
Just the ID tag.

After cleaning a little I don't see any reason to try to stay with original colors. So i will pick a theme I like for this one.

Went ahead and did some clean up on it. May stop for a while to decide what theme to do it in. Leave it as a rustic look for now.

Here is one I have. Has the same stripes as yours. It was a generic factory paint job.

This got me thinking, my pump doesn't have any holes for leaded sign or any pump plate sign or pricer box. Maybe its a generic pump for kerosene or a some other use. And no globe.
