Just bought a nice Texaco globe and was looking for ideas on how to display it. Looking for a nice base. It's 5" in D and I can only find 6" D bases online. I don't collect globes, so I am new to this, but love the one piece and would like to display it with pride. Any ideas or recommendations? thank you
does it have a screw on base ? .. ...
Something simple if you not interested in going elaborate. I just display my globes on a shelf over a window candle with a 7w bulb that you can get at Michael's crafts. And some of them have timers. Gives a nice even glow as the candle holder places the bulb in the center. Bob
On a pump would look good !!
you need a screw on base (copper/brass) for the bottom too make it complete,
that is the same way I got mine & added the correct base .. ...

thanks guys! Yes on a pump would be ideal, but until then I will be looking for what Randy recommended
perglglobes.com sells new ones that are identical to the originals. Very high quality stuff.
Do repo screw on copper bases have serial numbers like the originals?
