I was looking on Ebay and came across this 1937 photo with an interesting Marathon curb sign that I'd never seen before.
Has anyone ever seen one of these or know of one existing today? I was wondering if it was tin or porcelain mostly. It sure is a very attractive sign, like all the earlier running man signs are. (At least in my humble opinion!)
Thanks for any info,
Darin

Darin:
Never seen one other than pictures.
The 1st one is with Transcontinental Oil Co with the runner & the 2nd has two curb signs at the front & rear of the station.
I don't think either has "Credit Card" at the bottom.
Somewhere I have a picture of a similar rectangle curb sign .

Thanks Dave....this was the first I'd seen with "cards accepted" at the bottom.
Does the lower photo you posted have any indication of state or location?
