My wife bought this Fry 17 from a friend for my birthday. Over the winter you guys helped me determine it was a 10 gallon conversion and confirmed I should preserve rather than restore, just scotchbrite and linseed oil. So with acrylic cylinder, repro Shell globe it is now electrified and beautifully anchors my driveway. Thanks to all who helped.
Very nice. I like the location and oh ya your ride
Looks great, glad you didn't restore it.
Wow, very nice!! And yes, the location is awesome!! Great look!!
A great birthday gift. And that makes a perfect driveway light. Congrates
Love the car to!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks great. I like it unrestored. In its currant setting I do not think it would look as good restored.
You have a great wife! The pump looks perfect in that location.
Turned out nice, great location for the pump!!

Makes a great driveway light. And yes, the GTO adds a lot to the pic as well...

Looks absolutely perfect in that spot unrestored. I agree with Matt, it looks better unrestored, than if it was restored.
I hope you took a little bit of my advice in your original post.
Pump looks great,

Yep, base concreted in and pump bolted. Discouragement to ne’er do wells and scoundrels and safer for grandkids. Plus rock wall makes it inaccessible to the stray rear bumper of cars lacking backup warning systems (like all of mine)
Couldn’t resist, guys. This looks really tight together. My 24 Studebaker with the pump. Both about same patina.
That's a beauty! Nicely done.
Great picture! Love the idea of putting a 1920's car with a 1920's pump.

Better check the oil too..
