I am restoring a Fry (Guaranteed Measure) 73 Speedboy. When I got it no glass and no connecting rods so the most expensive parts I need to get especially since I’m going the brass route. Do I need 2 cork gaskets or just one? Also do I need 2 of the steel retainer rings that goes around the edge of the glass? It’s my first visible. I still need to decide if I’m going acrylic or not but I wanted to start getting the components together.

I would put 2 cork gaskets, and yes you need to put both top and bottom cyl. rings.

I would suggest that you get a copy of the gas pump restoration guide and follow the steps in the restoration on the Fry 117. They are different style pumps, but have many similarities. You will also see the many brand/color schemes. Dave
