Hey guys,
I am a new member here from down in sunny central Florida. I recently "found" this pump on our family farm up in south Georgia. I can see from the brass plaque attached its a Fry Model 17 and from looking at the number of gallons available, I guess it is a 10 gallon pump. That said it looks different from any that I have seen on the internet. Especially on the top where the globe would attach. There is actually a piece of safety glass there ( the kind with the wire in it). I have no other pumps and am very new to these. I would appreciate any information about this pump.
Thank you,
G

The Fry 17 was 5 gallons. 117 was 10. It looks like your pump may be a conversion pump, meaning modified to 10 gallons. Measure the diameter where the glass would fit. typical 17 is 10" diameter cylinder. Typical 117 was 13 5/8 cylinder and the conversion either 12 or 12 1/2.

as for the top, it's missing the bonnet or dome.

Looks like a Wayne conversion. Very common. 20's -30's. I have actually seen them in use as late as 80's. Dave
