I was following the auction in NC last Saturday to see what a National Simplex would bring. Complete provenance from installation in a basement garage in the 1920s until it was removed recently. It had several parts missing. It has a faint label on the side that says "That Good Gulf Gasoline." A great pump. Hammered at $8,200 plus at least 10% buyers premium.

I saw that and it is an amazing pump!! To think it's been sitting inside for nearly 100 years!
Imagine getting a slightly crusty original plate and globe on it!! Wow!!!

When I first started collecting a few years ago that pump, fully decked out, was up for sale. Absolutely beautiful. $6800 cDN if my memory serves me well. This original condition pump is in many ways even better.
