I am restoring a 96C with ad glass. The question that I have is what type of seal is used on the glass? The repair manual shows a round rubber seal around the glass in the frame. If this is the seal, then how do you apply it so that it stays in place while the glass is being installed? What I see elsewhere is a rubber seal that goes on the glass and then on to the door. What is the right way? Is the seal done the same way for the door window and ad glass? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Using the channel rubber on the glass is the easiest way. You could also use small rope or cord in the groove instead of round rubber.

96C pumps usually have a frame that attaches to the inside of the door? The glass and ad glass is placed in u channel rubber, as a cushion, then laid into the frame which is then attached to the door. Paul www.severngaspumps.com
