Whats the proper paint scheme for a visible pump done in Polly Gas regular?
Green- I always see green but the green varies wildly from a dark forest green to a vibrant lime green.
Yellow- This seems to also vary from a warm golden yellow to neon lemon
Orange- I've seen a few with an extremely loud orange or redish-orange.
and Black

I figure some of the color schemes come down to personal preference or to make the pump more eye-catching. I personally like the black and lime green with a hint of the yellow and orange.
Did Polly use one pump company for their visible pumps?

When i painted my bennet 150 in polly colors i had bought a water transfer decal then matched the green i wanted off of that.

Polly is supposed to be black with green accents. Polly was bought by Wilshire. Wilshire pumps were light green with dark green bases or accents. Most original Polly and or Wilshire stations pictures I have seen have light colored pumps. Here are a couple examples.

So black with light green accents, sounds like what I had in mind.

When I painted my Bennett, I looked in Scott B and Wayne H's book and saw that Polly was black and green. I picked a green that matched the green on the decal and ad glass.

I hope you noticed the two references to buying the decal and matching the green.
This might not be the exact green used by Polly, but it sure makes for a great looking pump, the same goes for the globe.

Yes I figured I could do that with matching the decal green and the paint. Has anyone used Martin Senour for mixing their paint and possible have a code?
I'm asking because my local shop does not have the matching machine. I'm sure I can eyeball it and get close but if someone has the code it'd be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know about the pumps using orange? I've now see it one multiple images online but mainly on computing pumps.

They did not originally use orange but you need to do what pleases you. If you want multiple colors or a color that was not originally used then that is what you should do. That is why there are many versions out there, other people have done that.

That PCM guide book has the original Polly paint schemes in there. Like Matt says almost all black with just a little green is original. Probably look pretty good done original paint scheme, be nice if there was a little more green in there! I'm not sure what the original green really was but the brighter green on black is pretty sharp. I've seen a much more muted green that just kind of just lays there in my opinion. If your decal isn't immediately adjacent to the green on the pump you can get away with having a slightly different green color paint on the pump. Not all Polly decals out there use the same green color.

I've got the Polly decal here and think I'm going to go with the Black body, lime green trim, with some yellow hints and orange pen-stripping . Seems like more people want more color combos and vibrant color; me included!

GH, could you post pics when you are finished painting the pump? I have a Wayne 515 that I’m thinking of painting it Polly colors and I was wanting to see an example. Thx
