Conoco Service Station Sign stolen from South Seattle Sea-Tac area They took the top metal frame and sign but not the pole Please contact me with any info The sign stolen is not the sign pictured but one exactly like it. Not sure how long it has been missing as it was behind my house out of sight and I just noticed it gone this week.
This must have been a multiple person crime as I remember loading this when he bought it years ago and it was two men and a tracto to load it. Darn it Don. I feel for you!!!!
Oh my.... Will keep my eyes peeled. Sorry Don, hope we can find it for you.
Eyes peeled on this side of the state!!
Thanks guys for your help
I'll be checking down this way for you Don. Richard
I'll keep my eyes open around Chicago as well.
...mmmmmmmmmm Mexican food.
Seems strange someone wouldn't have seen them? That's a pretty big heavy piece to lift off the top of a pole, and they should have had some equipment to do it? Stuff like a boom truck, usually draws a little attention when its parked somewhere with men working on something as large as a big Conoco sign?
Its tough to hide something that big in todays world of rapid communication! Hopefully these jerks will get caught.
Kevin the sign was not attached to the pole both were laying on the ground. My parents live two doors away and my sister lives next door and the neighbors all know my hours but no one seen a thing. I do have a possible lead from another old gas member that I will check out later today. Will report back either way. Thanks again guys for keeping a eye out for the sign
Hope you notified the law, for what ever that's worth.
It wasn't me, Don...
Now if it was an Associated Chicken wing... I might have taken a little trip up I-5...
I will keep an eye out for it, down here....
Well, I hope the lead pans out, Don. Nothing worse than getting something stolen. Ten years ago, you could kiss it goodby, but with todays communication, you have a good chance of finding it!
Sorry to hear about this Don. Terrible people in this world, But as others have said it will show up at some point, i'll keep an eye out in Arizona. This isn't your missing piece right?

Great News! Hold the crooks feet to the fire!
Great news Don! keep us posted on what happens to the thieves!
If I had my way it wouldn't be their feet I held over the fire 👹
I can tell you what is going to happen to the thieves. NOTHING! And the worst part, they all know it.
Sadly enough Ryan you are correct
Why is that? What explanation did you get? I mean, by 'nothing' do you mean, nothing - or did they get probation, etc...
Glad you are getting the sign back, but troubled that the system seems to not be working the way we think it should.
Had a friend that got two gas pumps stolen. He found them at a swap meet. Had pictures of what they looked like but the police said there could be other pumps that look the same way. He never did get the pumps back and the thieves walked with the cash after they sold the pumps. I make marks on my pumps that I can show owner ship now, Richard
Glad you got it back! Yeah!

I'd be in jail on this one... ; )
Mark, I think they're just talking about what happens to most people when they're caught. They get off on some B.S.
Modern communication serves its purpose once again!
That's pretty cool how this worked out from a networking point of view. Did the Oldgasser with the info contact you as a direct response to this original posting? Or did you know him through other ways?
It would be cool if you could keep us posted on the final outcome and what, if anything, actually happens to the bad guys.
...I'm also glad you got it back...

...it's great that you got the sign back - were the thieves identified? arrested? given a free lunch, pat on the back, and a ride home?? Enquiring minds want to know
