He's busy writing the third edition of his gas bump ID books that's probably why he hasn't responded. Speaking of which dose anyone know the price the book will be and it's ETA.

Jack has been in the VA hospital having a cochlear implant. He is home now. There have been some complications (not with the cochlear). He is very much under the weather and probably won't be able to post anything for a week or so.
He said to tell you he finished the book and sent a draft to the publisher, but if you have pictures, he can still add them.

A cochlear (koe-klee-er) implant is a device that provides direct electrical stimulation to the auditory (hearing) nerve in the inner ear. Children and adults with a severe to profound hearing loss who cannot be helped with hearing aids may be helped with cochlear implants.

That is what he got. He is a Korean Vet., his hearing loss came from the military, but he was not in combat.

Operation was done at the VA by a Doctor from Barnes Hospital, one of the top hospitals doing this type of surgery

The problems came from the VA, they failed to recognize a side effect he had from the operation and sent him home. About 30 minutes after getting home we were on our way to the emmergency ward. They treated him and he was able to come home. He is getting better everyday, but is dizzy (that's not unusal).

He told me to also tell you they got the surgery mixed up in the beginning and you can now call him Mary.
